CAT 2025 Score vs Percentile: What’s a good score for 90-99 percentile?

The Indian Institute of Management Kozhikode (IIMK) has published the final answer key for the Common Admission Test (CAT 2025). Only one out of 187 objections raised by candidates has been accepted. IIM admissions require a high percentile in CAT 2025 to be called for the second round of the selection process for postgraduate management programmes. Candidates often miss their chance due to a small percentage difference. Knowing the CAT score vs percentile difference may help candidates to calculate their chances of getting admission in a desired MBA college.

The total marks for CAT 2025 are 204. This year, the CAT question paper had 68 questions carrying three marks each. As per the marking scheme, one mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. The 68 questions are divided into three sections - verbal ability and reading comprehension (VARC), data interpretation and logical reasoning (DILR), and quantitative aptitude (QA).

Candidates scoring above 153 will have a better chance of obtaining top percentile in CAT exam 2025. An overall CAT score between 153 to 132 will fall under the 99 percentile.

The CAT provisional answer key challenge window was available from December 8 to 10. Sectional review experts for CAT 2025 reviewed all the objections and prepared the final answer key, IIM Kozhikode said.

As per the CAT paper analysis 2025, the quant section was rated the toughest of all and the highest number of objections, 113, was also received for the section, notably against slot 1 question paper.

CAT score vs percentile 2025

Candidates will be able to calculate their probable score by matching the answers with the final answer key. A candidate with a score above 110 CAT score is expected to obtain 99.95 percentile. Only those candidates who meet the required CAT cut-off score will be called for the second round of the selection process – written ability test (WAT) and personal interview.
