Only those students whose names would be submitted will be able to appear for Class 10, 12 board examinations, the board said.

“Registration of students in Class 9 and 11 is a very significant process which helps CBSE in advance planning for holding the classes 10 and 12 examinations of these students in the subsequent year,” said an official statement from CBSE.

CBSE has requested schools to fill in the full and correct name of the student, father, mother, and guardian and avoid abbreviations. The number of sections in a class cannot exceed that decided by CBSE and in a section, only 40 students are allowed, the board said.

The board has asked schools to conduct exams for Classes 9 and 11 in the schools themselves.

“No window for the correction in the uploaded data will be made available from this year onwards,” the board said in the statement.
