CBSE Class 12 sample paper and marking scheme for each subject is available on the academic website – cbseacademic.nic.in. According to the Class 12 physics sample paper, the question paper will contain a total of 35 questions and all questions will be compulsory. The question paper will be divided into five sections – Section A, Section B, Section C, Section D, and Section E. All sections will be compulsory.

Section A contains 18 Multiple-Choice Questions (MCQs) carrying one mark each while Section B contains seven questions of two marks each. Section C contains five questions of three marks each and section D contains three long questions of five marks each. Lastly, Section E contains two case study based questions of four marks each.
While there is no overall choice, students will get an internal choice in section B, C, D and E. Students will have to attempt only one of the choices in such questions. The question paper also instructed students to not use calculators during the exam.
The duration of the CBSE Class 12 physics exam is three hours and the paper will carry a total of 70 marks. CBSE 12th physics syllabus contains nine units. Apart from theory exam, the practical exam for physics subject carries 30 marks and includes experiments, activities, and project.
