NEW DELHI: A fake CBSE website has been asking Class 10, 12 students to pay registration fees for appearing in the CBSE Class 10, 12 board exams 2023, the PIB Fact Check cautioned students.

“A registration fee is being demanded from students on a fake website (https://cbsegovt.com) for appearing in board examinations,” the PIB said in its official Twitter handle.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) usually asks schools to submit a list of candidates (LOC) who will be appearing for Class 10, 12 board exams 2022-23. This year, the board asked schools to submit students' lists for CBSE Class 10, 12 board exam 2023 through the e-pariksha link given on the CBSE official website - cbse.gov.in.

Therefore, the general public and stakeholders are hereby cautioned to be extremely careful and not respond to any such fake messages and websites. The Board does not take any fees directly from any students or parents for downloading Admit Cards." read an official CBSE statement regarding the matter.

The CBSE board had also allowed private students to register for the CBSE board exams 2023 from September 17, 2022. It also announced to hold CBSE board exam 2023 for private students in February, March or April along with the annual exam.
