When to expect CBSE datesheet 2023? Exam dates, sample paper, new question pattern

NEW DELHI: The Central Board Secondary Education (CBSE) will be holding the CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2023 from February 15. The CBSE datesheet 2023 has not yet been released on the official website, cbse.gov.in. However, the CBSE Board has announced new changes in the CBSE question paper pattern for both Class 10 and 12.

CBSE Class 10, 12 practical exams 2023 will begin from January 1, 2023. The Board recently issued important instructions for the schools, students regarding the practical exams. It had asked schools to ensure that the CBSE syllabus is completed before the CBSE exam dates.

The ministry of education announced that at least 40 percent questions in the CBSE Class 10 exam 2023 and 30 percent in CBSE Class 12 exams 2023 will be competency based. As per the revised CBSE question paper pattern for Class 10 and Class 12, the questions for the CBSE board exams 2023 will comprise multiple formats such as objective type, constructing response type, assertion and reasoning and case based.

There have been several media reports claiming CBSE Class 10, 12 exam 2023 timetable expected this week, however, the board has not yet announced the CBSE datesheet release date. CBSE Controller of Examination Sanyam Bhardwaj told the Indian Express that the reports on CBSE Class 10, 12 datesheet expected this week is “fake”. He also said that the CBSE board has not promised to issue the CBSE board exam dates 2023 this month.

He went on to say that the CBSE has not released the board exam timetable in December in the past. “We usually release them in January, however I am not saying that it will come out now in January, but just stating that as per the past trends, we have never released the datesheet so early,” the report quoted Bhardwaj.

CBSE sample paper

CBSE Class 12 and Class 12 sample paper and marking scheme for each subject is available on the official website – cbseacademic.nic.in. Students will be able to access the CBSE sample papers for Class 12 main subjects including physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology and other subjects by clicking on the ‘Sample Question Paper - SQP 2022-23’ on the CBSE website. The Class 10 students will also be able to download CBSE sample papers by following the same steps.

The CBSE board has also issued subject-wise marks breakup for theory, practicals and internal assessment.
