NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will commence the CBSE Class 10 board exams 2024 for major subjects from today, starting with the Hindi paper. Students will be appearing for Class 10 Hindi-A and Hindi-B courses from 10:30 am to 1:30 pm.
The next exam for major subjects will be conducted on February 26 for English. The board will hold National Cadet Corps, Telugu-Telangana, Bodo, Tangkhul, Japanese, Bhutia, Spanish, Kashmiri, Mizo, Bahasa Melayu on February 23 and Punjabi, Sindhi, Malayalam, Odia, Assamese, Kannada, Kokborok exams on February 24.
The CBSE Board yesterday informed centre superintendents to adhere to the exam guidelines and make seating arrangements for Hindi A students together and Hindi-B students separately.
“Students offered Hindi-A be given the question paper of Hindi-A and students offered Hindi-B be given the question paper of Hindi-B. No mistake be done in distribution of question papers,” the board said. The CBSE Class 10 answer books will be packed separately for Hindi-A and Hindi-B.
Schools are asked to send their observations and issues related to the board exams every year. However, the board noted that the schools are sending observations to various email addresses not meant for the purpose. Also, observations are sent several days after the exam. In this regard, the board has instructed schools to upload observations on OECMS. “To clarify the issues, if required, details may be sent to the
e-mail ID: qpobservation@cbseshiksha.in. Observations should be sent on the same day the examination is conducted,” it added.
