The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will release the date sheet for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations 2027 soon. Students will be able to download the subject-wise examination dates, timing on the official website, cbse.gov.in. Based on previous years' trends, the examinations are expected to be held in February and March, and datesheet is expected in October.

Meanwhile, CBSE has released sample question papers for Classes 10 and 12 for academic session 2026-27 on its academic website cbseacademic.nic.in.
CBSE Board Exam 2027 for private candidates
CBSE has opened the application process for private candidates appearing for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations in 2027. The application and fee submission window will remain open until October 23, 2026.
The board will conclude the List of Candidates (LOC) submission process for regular students appearing for the Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations in 2027. Schools that miss the deadline can submit the details between October 22 and October 30 by paying a late fee of Rs 2,000 per candidate.
Corrections to candidates' names, parents' or guardians' names and dates of birth can be done between November 2 and 4.

CBSE Board Exam 2027: Steps to download date sheet PDF
Once CBSE publishes the Class 10 and Class 12 timetable, students can follow these steps to download it:
- Go to the official CBSE website, cbse.gov.in
- On homepage, look for the latest announcements section
- Click on the link for CBSE Class 10 or Class 12 date sheet 2027
- Examination timetable PDF will appear on the screen
- Download the same and save it for future references
Students appearing for CBSE Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations must secure at least 33% marks in each subject to pass. Class 10 students can appear in session 2 to improve their scores in up to 3 subjects. Class 12 students will have an option of appearing in supplementary exams in case they fail to secure passing marks in main board exams.

How to check CBSE Class 12 sample papers?
CBSE sample papers of 12 board exams can be downloaded from its academic website cbseacademic.nic.in
- To download the same, visit the website cbseacademic.nic,in
- On homepage, click on the link that reads, "Sample Question Papers for Classes X & XII for the current Academic Session 2026- 27 – reg."
- Then click on Class 12 sample paper link
- You will see three tabs: subject, sample question paper, and marking scheme
- Select the subject and click on the same
- Sample question paper will open up on screen
- Go through the same and download it
