Schools have been told to ensure that all candidate information is entered correctly. The regular fee window for finalising the LOC data will remain open between September 24 and October 21, 2026. Schools submitting the LOC after the deadline can apply till October 30 by paying a late fee of Rs 2,000 per candidate.
The circular also contains instructions related to the two-board-examination policy for Class 10. The first Board Examination will be mandatory for all Class 10 students, and the LOC for the first examination has to be submitted for all candidates. The LOC for the second Board Examination will be submitted separately after the first examination.
The board has warned schools that they will not be allowed to change the declared section or strength of students after LOC submission. It has also directed schools to carefully verify the number of candidates being sponsored against the number of teachers appointed for each subject.
Schools have to update data on the OASIS and HPE portals before proceeding with the LOC submission. The process includes checking the previous year's registered candidates, correcting or adding candidate details, uploading photographs and signatures for new candidates, finalising the data, making the fee payment and printing the final LOC.
The board has specified that changes to LOC after the last date of direct admissions, subject changes and other permitted corrections will not be allowed.
Visually impaired candidates are exempted from payment of examination fees for Classes 10 and 12.
CBSE LOC correction window
Post registration ends, CBSE will generate a data verification slip for each candidate. The board will allow corrections in candidate, parent or guardian name and date of birth, where applicable, from November 2 to November 4, 2026. Once this correction period is over, no further correction will be allowed by the board.
