CBSE establishes six new regional, sub-regional offices, centres of excellence

Four new CBSE offices and CoEs in Raipur, Ranchi, Itanagar, and Gangtok started functioning from today.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has established six new regional offices, centres of excellence, and sub-regional offices, some of which have started functioning from today including the ones in Raipur, Ranchi, Itanagar, and Gangtok.
The CBSE offices in Gurugram and Lucknow will become functional from September 1, 2025. All schools affiliated to the central board will be governed by the the respective offices.
The offices and centres have been set up after the approval of the finance committee and controllinga authority.
Recently, the board got its 19th regional office in Patna . Last year, it announced that a sub-regional office will be established in Agartala.
