NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Gandhinagar have jointly launched the Eklavya Series with an aim to clarify NEP and showcase how to effectively implement NEP 2020 across the schools.

Eklavya is an interactive online educational programme that will contain numerous hands-on activities, projects, models which help in conceptual understanding of various topics. “The programme will also contain thought provoking questions, assignments which promote out-of-box creative thinking like why Neeraj Chopra threw javelin at 36 degree,” the official statement said.
The programme will also include inspiring DIY(do it yourself) project videos using local material which relate the curriculum to life.
The registration process for 3030 Eklavya programme started on September 10. The live series will be held every Sunday from 4-5pm. Registration is compulsory and free of cost.

The board said that the content will be of varying levels and will cover topics in science and mathematics curriculum of Classes 6 to 12. Therefore, students from these grades should avail this opportunity to register and participate for conceptual clarity. Addressing all the Heads of Schools affiliated to CBSE, the board in a letter requested to avail this opportunity to fulfil the requisite number of teacher professional development hours. For the teachers, successful completion of the course with submission of homework will be considered equivalent to 30 hours of Teachers Training/Capacity Building Program.
This series will help students and teachers by equipping them with scientific temper and key competencies, the board added.
Participation certificate for all modules and Certificate of Competency for the whole course will cost Rs 100 + Tax.
