The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) is preparing to launch the KVS Samvaad Parent Connect App. The proposed Samvaad app is expected to provide parents with access to students' attendance records, academic performance, school announcements and other official communications.

The KVS Samvaad app will allow parents to keep track of their children's monthly attendance records, including the number of days present and absent. They will also be able to monitor academic performance, track progress and check if their child's results are improving or declining.

The KVS online platform will also provide access to school announcements, examination results and other official updates. Access to the app will be limited to only those parents who have verified their details. Before its launch, Kendriya Vidyalayas have been asked to verify parents' registered mobile numbers and email addresses through the SAMAGAM Portal.

KVS advisory on fake SAMAGAM, Samvaad apps

However, the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan online app is yet to be launched, and the Sangathan has warned parents, students and staff against downloading unofficial applications using the names of 'KVS SAMAGAM' and 'KVS Samvaad'.

In an advisory, KVS said several applications on the Google Play Store were misleading users by falsely claiming to be associated with the organisation. These applications have no connection with KVS and may pose a risk to users’ personal data and privacy.

KVS has asked principals of all Kendriya Vidyalayas to share the advisory with parents, students and staff through school websites, WhatsApp groups, Vidyalaya Management Committee (VMC) meetings and parent-teacher meetings.

The Sangathan has also advised users not to download or register on unofficial applications claiming to represent KVS or share their personal information through such platforms. Parents and students have been asked to wait for an official announcement before downloading the Samvaad app.

The Sangathan clarified that KVS SAMAGAM is currently available only as a web portal at samagam.kvs.gov.in. No official mobile application for SAMAGAM has been released yet on the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
