CBSE opens Class 12 revaluation and verification window, apply by june 6; fees, steps, faqs

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has opened the online window for Class 12 students seeking re-evaluation of answers or reporting issues in the scanned copies of their answer books.

As per the CBSE press release, the facility is available only to students who have already obtained photocopies, scanned copies of their evaluated answer sheets.

The board has clarified that students dissatisfied with the evaluation process can either request re-evaluation of specific answers or report discrepancies noticed in the scanned answer book. Both services are being offered through a dedicated online portal cbse.gov.in/newsite_old/rchk.html, and no offline applications will be entertained.

CBSE has also specified that the application process, fee payment, and tracking of requests will be conducted entirely online. Students will be required to use their Aadhaar details while accessing the portal.

CBSE Class 12 Re-evaluation 2026: Important dates and fee

The board has kept the portal active from June 2 to June 6, 2026 (midnight). Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.

CBSE stated that payments can be made through online modes such as UPI, debit card, credit card and net banking.

CBSE 12th Class Re-evaluation: How to apply

CBSE Class 12 students can follow the below steps to submit their requests;

• Visit the CBSE re-evaluation portal and sign in using the required credentials.
• Complete Aadhaar-based authentication to access the application dashboard.
• Choose either "Verification of Issues" or "Re-evaluation", depending on your requirement.
• Select the subject and enter the details requested by the portal.
• Review all information carefully before proceeding.
• Complete the online payment process.
• Download the acknowledgement receipt and keep it for future reference.
• Track the status of the application through the portal after submission.

CBSE Answer Sheet Verification: What can students report?

CBSE Class 12 students can raise the concerns if they notice issues such as;

• Missing pages in the scanned answer book.
• Omission of supplementary sheets.
• Missing diagrams, maps or graphs.
• Unclear or blurred scanned pages.
• Incorrect answer booklet uploaded.
• Evaluation carried out against a different question paper set.

CBSE has advised candidates to include all subjects and issues in a single application, as only one request for verification and one request for re-evaluation will be permitted.
