CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024: Registration begins at cbse.gov.in; eligibility criteria

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has commenced the registrations for Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024 from today, November 22. Eligible students can apply for the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2024 and Single Girl Child Scholarship 2023 (renewal) by visiting the official website, cbse.gov.in.

The scholarship value is Rs 500 per month. Applicants are required to include their bank details, such as the bank name, account number, RTGS, NEFT, IFSC code, and bank address. All applications are required to be signed by the applicants, as unsigned applications will be rejected.

CBSE Single Child Scholarship 2024: Registration deadline

The deadline to submit the CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2024 is December 23. Required documents include an attested copy of the Class 11 mark sheet, a copy of Aadhaar (linked to the applicant's bank account), and a copy of the bank passbook or a canceled cheque, duly attested.

Eligible candidates can apply under the following schemes:

  1. Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2024 Scheme: This scholarship is open to single girl children who have passed Class 10 in 2024 from CBSE and are currently studying in Class 11 in CBSE-affiliated schools.

  2. Single Girl Child Scholarship X 2023 (Renewal 2024) Scheme: This scheme invites renewal applications for students who were awarded the scholarship in 2023.

CBSE Single Child Scholarship 2024: Eligibility criteria

Students can have a look at the CBSE Single Child Scholarship 2024 eligibility criteria below.

  • The scholarship is exclusively for meritorious single girl students who are the only child of their parents.

  • Applicants are required to have scored 60% or more marks in the CBSE Class X Examination.

  • Students are required to be currently studying in Class 11 or 12 in a school affiliated with CBSE.

  • The tuition fee of the school should not exceed Rs 1,500 per month during the academic year.

  • A maximum 10% annual increase in tuition fees is permitted for the subsequent two years.

  • NRI applicants are eligible, with a tuition fee cap of Rs 6,000 per month for schools abroad.

  • The scholarship is open only to Indian Nationals.
