Apply NowThe Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has extended the last date for submission of applications for the single girl child scholarship scheme till November 20. Eligible students can submit fresh and renewal applications on the official website, cbse.gov.in.
Earlier, the last date to submit applications was October 23. Under the scheme, girl students who are the only child of their parents and have passed Class 10 exam with 60% and above are given an amount of Rs 500 per month. Awardees will be paid for a maximum of two years.
CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025: Eligibility criteria
As per the eligibility criteria, the following female students will be eligible for CBSE scholarship:
- Girl students who have secured 60% marks in Class 10 and are studying in Class 11 or 12 with tuition fee not more than Rs 1,500 per month.
- Non-Residential Indian (NRI) students having a tuition fee of not over Rs 6,000 per month.
- Indian nationals
- Those who have passed CBSE Class 10 exam

The scholarship awarded to a student will be renewed for a period of one year, upon successful completion of Class 11. Renewal of scholarship will also depend on promotion to the next class provided the scholar secures 50% or more marks in aggregate in the examination.

- Click on the main website link
- Now, click on the link to apply besides the public notice
- Candidates will be redirected to another page
- Now, click on the link to apply and fill the application form
- Pay the fee and upload the documents
- Download the application form and take a print out
