New Delhi, July 31: Central Board of Secondary Examination (CBSE) has declared the result of CBSE UGC NET 2018 on July 31, in online mode. The result of UGC NET 2018 has been announced for only those candidates who have taken the test on July 8.
Candidates can check their CBSE UGC NET result 2018 by visiting the official website http://cbseresults.nic.in/UGCpxy/net_july2018.htm and entering their application number, roll number and date of birth as filled in the application form of UGC NET 2018.
The result of UGC NET contains candidate's roll number, name, subject opted by the candidate, marks obtained by the candidate in both Paper-I and II, maximum marks of papers I and II, total marks of the candidate, and percentage of marks obtained by them.
Candidates who have scored at least 40% aggregate marks in both the papers taken together would be considered qualified in the UGC NET exam 2018. Reserved category candidates have to score 35% marks in both the papers.
Along with the result, the exam conducting authority has also released the UGC NET cut off which includes the subject-wise and category wise score of candidates who have qualified the NET exam (taking into consideration the marks obtained by the candidates in all the papers). The cut off has been prepared separately for JRF & Assistant Professor, and Assistant Professor.

As per CBSE, from 2018 onwards only 6% of the top candidates who are able to secure the qualifying marks in Paper I and Paper II according to the respective categories, will be considered qualifying the exam. However, till 2017, 15% of the top candidates would be shortlisted in the exam.
CBSE UGC NET exam 2018 was conducted for two papers – 1 and 2 in online mode. Till last year, the exam would be held for three papers.
UGC NET exam for December session will be conducted from December 2 to 16 by National Testing Agency (NTA). Till July session 2018, CBSE was conducting UGC NET. As many as 11,48,235 candidates had registered for the July session.
