CBSE Board Exams 2026: Board says Middle East exam circular fake, official update soon

CBSE Board Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has warned students, parents, and schools about a fake circular circulating on social media that falsely claims the cancellation of some board examinations in the Middle East region for the 2025–26 academic session.

In a post shared from its official headquarters account on X, the board clearly stated that the circular is not genuine. “Important Alert!! This is a fake circular. An official update will follow,” CBSE said, urging everyone not to believe or share the misleading notice.

The fake document claimed that CBSE had cancelled the remaining language papers for Classes 10 and 12, along with the Class 10 Social Science exam, due to US-Israel attacked Iran which has retaliated on US bases spread all over the Middle East. It also mentioned that students would be awarded marks using alternative evaluation methods such as internal assessments and periodic tests.

The circular reads, "The remaining Language Papers for Class X and Class XII are scheduled in all examination centres in the Middle East region. This includes all language papers scheduled from 28.02.2026."

"This decision is strictly applicable to regular students registered through schools located in the Middle East region facing operational difficulties and is not applicable to candidates in other international locations nor private candidates, whose assessment guidelines will follow as per private candidate norms," the notice further reads.
