NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has cancelled the registration of 26 Bihar schools for charging higher charger fee and not complying with the guidelines laid down by the board.
Besides the 26 schools, the board has cancelled the registration of 10 schools in Jharkhand. More than 7,000 students are appearing in the CBSE board exam 2024 from these schools. The board has given a one time relaxation to these students and clarified that fresh registration of 36 schools will not be considered valid.
Although the board has asked the schools to improve the facilities, the schools failed to improve or provide adequate facilities to students. It was also found that the schools have been charging higher admission fees, annual fees, and monthly fees.
