CCMT Round II Seat Allotment Result Announced; reporting at RC from May 29-June 1

NEW DELHI, MAY 28: NIT Delhi has declared the seat allotment result of CCMT 2018 for Round II on May 28; the institute-wise opening and closing rank has also been released alongside the result. Candidates can check their results by logging into the seat allotment portal using GATE registration id and password. Seat allotment result for Round I was announced earlier on May 20.

Candidates who have been allotted seats in Round II have to report at any of the available reporting centres (RCs) between May 29 and June 1. Such candidates will have the option to keep the allotted seat or opt for up-gradation within the same institute (slide) or any institute (float). If the candidate has been allotted a seat of higher preference in Round 2, then seat offered in Round I will be considered null and void.

The third and final round of seat allotment of CCMT will be conducted on June 10. The seat allotment process for all the three rounds is being conducted in online mode. Upon completion of the three normal rounds of seat allotment, a spot round will be conducted on July 22.

Procedure to check CCMT seat allotment result

To check the seat allotment status, the candidate has to follow the steps given below:

• Go to the CCMT website

• Click on “Allotment Result”

• Log-in to result portal using GATE registration id, password and displayed security code

Upon successful log-in, the seat allotment status will be displayed on screen.

How to check institute-wise seat allotment status

The candidate will also be able to check the institute-wise opening and closing seat allotment by clicking on the “Opening & Closing Rank” option. To select the opening and closing ranks of a particular institute, the candidate has to select “Institute Name” and “Branch.”

Withdraw from seat allotment process

The candidate can withdraw by reporting at a reporting centre (RC) and depositing the Provisional Seat Allotment Letter, proof of fee payment and document verification (DVC), along with a duly filled withdrawal form. Candidates who withdraw allotted seats won’t be able to participate in any of the normal seat allotment round. They though may appear in the national spot round (NSR), which will fresh registrations from July 4-16.
