All candidates who have been allotted seats in round 1 have to report at the nearest reporting centre for document verification between May 21-24. Additionally, they have to opt for any of the three available options – float, slide, and freeze.
If a candidate opts for the freeze option, he/she will not be considered for up-gradation. On the other hand, slide option will enable the candidate to hold onto the offered seat while being open to a higher preference seat, but in the same institute. The third option, float should opted by the candidate if he/she is open to a higher preference in any institute.
In such cases, where a candidate is offered a higher preference seat in round 1 or 2, seat allotted to the candidate in the earlier round will be cancelled and will be available for allotment to some other candidate.
