The Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Chandigarh, has begun the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Undergraduate (NEET-UG) counselling registration process for admission to MBBS, BDS and BHMS courses for the 2025-26 academic session today, July 17. Eligible candidates can submit their Chandigarh NEET counselling application forms through the official website, gmch.gov.in.
As per the schedule, the deadline to apply online, including payment of fees, is July 24. The provisional list of eligible candidates, along with details of discrepancies, if any, will be published on July 29. Medical aspirants can upload the required documents to rectify deficiencies by July 31. The final list of provisionally eligible candidates will be displayed on August 2.
The first round of counselling will be held on August 5 and 6 at the auditorium of ‘O’ Block (Sarai Building), GMCH, Sector 32-A, Chandigarh. MBBS counselling for all UT pool seats, including general, SC and PwD categories, along with Foreign Indian Student (NRI) seats, is scheduled for August 5.
To register for the Chandigarh NEET counselling 2025, candidates from the Scheduled Caste (SC) or Scheduled Caste – Persons with Disability (SC PwD) category are required to pay Rs 1,000.
While candidates from the General or General – Persons with Disability (General PwD) category will have to pay Rs 2,000. Foreign Indian students, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), and Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) cardholders are required to pay Rs 14,000 to register for the counselling process 2025.
For the academic year 2025-26, a total of 150 seats are available for the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) course at Government Medical College and Hospital, Chandigarh. For the Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) course, 100 seats are on offer, and for the Bachelor of Homeopathic Medicine and Surgery (BHMS) course, 50 seats are available.
Candidates applying for MBBS, BDS or BHMS courses are required to upload the following relevant documents while filling out the online application form.
