Happy Children's Day 2022: The United Nations Children's Fund along with the Rajasthan government has launched child rights week.

NEW DELHI: On the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, India’s first Prime Minister, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other political leaders greet the country and wished happy children’s day 2022.
The birthday of Jawaharlal Nehru, who was also fondly known as "Chacha Nehru", was first celebrated as Children’s Day in 1954. Schools, colleges are celebrating today by organizing various cultural events and competitions.
The United Nations Children's Fund along with the Rajasthan government has launched child rights week. As part of the child friendly panchayat campaign, supported by UNICEF, awareness will be created in 33 districts of the state.
On this occasion, PM Narendra Modi said, “On his birth anniversary, tributes to our former PM Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Ji. We also recall his contribution to our nation.”

Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan said, “It is our responsibility to ensure that our children live in a world free from poverty and inequality. Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot said, “Happy Children’s Day to all the young ones. For Chacha Nehru, children were special and he believed that all kids should get loving care and education that makes them rational human beings. Little ones are the future of our nation and I wish them unbound happiness.”
