Chitkara university Himachal Pradesh campus gets A+ NAAC grade
The institute has been placed in the top five percent of the higher education institutes to have received this grade. The university has also logged a CGPA of 3.42 out of 4.

NEW DELHI: The National Assesment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has graded an A+ rating to Chitkara university located in Himachal Pradesh, a statement from the university said. The university has achieved the feat owing to three major features, which include infrastructure, eco-friendly campus and a startup ecosystem.
With this feat, the university has seized its position in the top 5 percent higher education institutions (HEIs) in India to have received this grade. The university has also logged a cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of 3.42 on a four point scale, the official notification released by the university read.

Chitkara university chancellor Ashok K Chitkara said on the accomplishment- "It is the hard work by our students, staff and faculty for years that resulted in securing this recognition. Moreover, the university has a well defined research promotion policy which has resulted into the development of state-of-the-art advanced facilities. Our CURIN facility offers multidisciplinary advanced facilities backed by research funding from various government agencies".
He further said that the adoption of sustainable measures on the Chitkara university premises has resulted in attaining the status of zero discharge from the Quality council of India.
University vice-chancellor Varinder S Kanwar said, "Entrepreneurship development has been one of our focus areas. We have a startup ecosystem, wherein we provide research scholars and faculties with seed money to support their research projects and patent applications. The university holds a successful record of creating some brilliant start-ups such as Chai Nagri, ROBO champs, SD academia and many more".
