Class 10, 12 board exams 2025 start tomorrow; state-wise schedule, key updates

NEW DELHI: The Class 10 and 12 board exams for 2025 are set to begin tomorrow in several states. Some states have already issued the board exam admit cards for the theory exams, while other state boards are yet to make them available to students. Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has already issued the Class 10, 12 board exams admit card 2025.

The board has issued the CBSE Class 10, 12 admit card 2025 for both regular and private students on its Pariksha Sangam portal. The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education (WBBSE), Meghalaya Board of School Education (MBOSE) Class 10 board exam and the Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) Class 12 board exams will commence tomorrow.

The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) commenced the Class 12 theory exams on February 1, 2025. According to the board, the Bihar Intermediate exams were conducted across 1,677 examination centres, for over 12 lakh students on the first day. The BSEB Inter board exams will continue until February 15, 2025.

WBBSE Class 10 admit cards for 181 students today

In a recent update, WBBSE President Ramanuj Ganguly stated that the authorities of 136 schools have been held responsible for the difficulties faced by candidates of Class 10 whose details were not submitted to the board on time. Fresh admit cards for these students will be released today, February 9.

State Board Exams 2025: Measures to prevent malpractices

Several states will implement measures to prevent malpractices in Class 10 and Class 12 board exams 2025. BSE President Srikant Tarai said that the Odisha board has added advanced security features like QR codes, watermarks, and unique serial numbers on question papers.

To further strengthen security, all exam centres will have CCTV, and live streaming will expand to 600 centres. Digital locks on question paper containers will be centrally controlled using secure passwords or specialised chips.

The Odisha Board will hold the Class 10 board exams for 2025 from February 21 to March 6. A total of 5,10,778 students are expected to appear for the exams, which will be conducted across 3,133 examination centres spread over 30 districts in the state.

To ensure the smooth conduct of the ongoing Bihar Board Class 12 exams, BSEB Chairman Anand Kishore carried out surprise inspections at various examination centres across Patna. According to reports, seven students were expelled from the BSEB Inter Exams 2025, held on February 4, after being caught cheating.

GBSHSE, GSEB key updates

The GBSHSE Goa board has uploaded the seating arrangement for candidates on the official website and asked candidates to present at the examination centres at least 45 minutes before the commencement of the exam.

The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) has directed principals of all higher secondary schools to upload the Class 12 marks for general, vocational, and science stream students obtained in the practical exams by February 21. The Gujarat Board will conduct the GSEB Class 12 board exams 2025 from February 27 to March 13 for all streams.
