Class 12 Board Exams 2021: States in favor of conducting exams

NEW DELHI: After a high-level meeting, chaired by Union defense minister Rajnath Singh on Sunday, May 23, 2021, several states have started taking decisions on the Class 12 board exams. Several states are in favor of conducting the Class 12 board exam 2021, while others are still in the process of exploring other options. Some states like Delhi and Kerala have suggested vaccinating students before the board exams.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) in the meeting has proposed to conduct the CBSE Class 12 board exam 2021 between July 15 and August 26, 2021. As per the latest news on CBSE board exam 2021, the board has also proposed to conduct the board exams for 19 major subjects. Students on social media are raising questions on when is CBSE 12th exam 2021? The board will take a decision on the same on June 1, 2021.

Karnataka

The Karnataka Board is in favor of conducting Class 12 exams. Karnataka Primary and Secondary Education Minister Suresh Kumar said that it was necessary to hold Karnataka 2nd year Pre-University exams, in the interest of students' future. An appropriate decision will be taken by the board in the coming days.

Maharashtra

Maharashtra School Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad on Sunday said that the decision on holding Maharashtra Class 12 Board exams will be taken this week. Also, a non-examination route should be explored by the board on account of the ongoing pandemic.

Jharkhand

Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that he is not in favor of conducting board exams. According to the minister, holding the Class 12 board examinations in the state would not be appropriate in the wake of the present COVID-19 situation. He also suggested that the date of all upcoming examinations should be fixed only after the pandemic comes under control.

Goa

According to the Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, the decision on Goa Class 12 board exams will be taken in the next couple of days.

Delhi

Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia is in favor of making arrangements for vaccinating Class 12 students before appearing for the board exams.
