NEW DELHI, MAY 13: CLAT 2018 was held on May 13 between 3:00 pm and 5:00 pm. The online Common Law Admission Test administered by the National University of Advanced Legal Studies Kochi (NUALS) was appeared by around 59,000 test takers across India. The test takers scale the exam on easy to moderate in terms of difficulty level, where most of them said that the Legal Aptitude questions came out to be easy, the GK section was a little tricky and English was on the moderate 'difficulty' scale.

“For me, Legal Aptitude questions was easiest of all, as I took the paper seriously. I have taken a number of mock tests and analysed each of them so that I could excel in my exam,” says Harish who took the test from a Delhi centre.

The questions from General Knowledge were tricky. “I would say that the GK questions were tough for me because did not know that we have to face questions from topics as recent as two weeks ago,” says Falguni who took the test from the Taj Mahal city. She further adds that those who have gone through recent news sections would certainly do good in this section.

The Mathematics questions made some test takers unhappy, as they scale it tough. “I was sure that Maths would be easiest as it was of 10th standard but the questions took too many calculations and it was time-taking therefore, I had to leave some questions,” says Aniruddh, who appear for CLAT 2018 from the pink-city.

The test takers claim English section to be of moderate level. “The Reading Comprehension passages were time-taking as they were long enough to be answered. Further, the grammar-related questions were easy, so for me, it came out to be an okay section; not so tough, neither too easy,” says Akanksha, another CLAT taker from Delhi.

Exam centre glitches

A few test centres across India specifically those located in cities of Delhi-NCR, Bhopal, Bilaspur, Jaipur, Jodhpur and Agra complained about the exam centres glitches. The test takers at these examination cities whinged about technical problems arising due to server failures.

Lokesh, a CLAT 2018 taker from Bhopal retorts, “The exam centre officials could not fetch my bio-metric details. Due to certain technical glitches, my exam could not start on time and I panicked before taking the exam!”

“This exam centre in Delhi is the worst. There were no proper arrangements made. Even they did not frisk the test takers properly. My son says his system got switched off due to some server problem,” says Jaishankar, a Delhi test taker's father.
