NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) has released a set of exam day instructions, including COVID-19 safety measures, for candidates appearing in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2020. The national-level exam will be held on September 28 in social distanced based online mode.
The CLAT admit card is now available and can be downloaded from the official website of the consortium; consortiumofnlus.ac.in.
The Consortium has adopted a “Social Distanced Computer Based Testing” model for CLAT 2020. The primary objective of the SD-CBT is to ensure social distancing norms, which is considered one of the most effective ways to control the COVID-19 pandemic. The consortium has also announced a slew of medical precautions to be followed at the test centre.
All candidates will have to maintain social distancing at the exam centre.
All candidates will have to undergo a thermal screening process at the entrance gate. Candidates whose temperature is less than 99.14 will be allowed to enter inside the exam hall.
Those with temperature > 99.14 will be shifted to an isolation lab where they will be provided with 3 ply masks and gloves before appearing in CLAT 2020
Candidates who come with scribes will have to bring their own N95 masks.
Considering the COVID-19 situation across the country, candidates will be allowed to carry items such as mask, gloves. personal transparent water bottle and personal sanitizer (50 ml).
The candidate must carry their CLAT admit card and I.D. proof for verification at the exam centre. Meanwhile, a bar code scanning will be done inside the exam centre.
The candidates will have to sign on the CLAT admit card in presence of the invigilator.
Candidates will have to show the duly filled Medical Self-Declaration form at the CLAT exam centre. The Medical Self-Declaration form should be submitted to the invigilator.
Candidates will be provided with rough sheets on their desk. Candidates must write their CLAT admit card number on each sheet given by the centre. After the examination, the rough sheets will be deposited in a dropbox.
In case the candidate faces any hardware or software issues while appearing in the test, he/she must immediately report the matter to the invigilator.
Apart from the prescribed items, the candidates cannot carry any other item inside the exam hall. Candidates will have to leave their baggage and other items outside the exam hall and the centre will not be responsible for the safety of such items.
