To check the CLAT result 2020 and merit list, candidates must login using their mobile number and password. The consolidated Merit List of CLAT-2020 has been released on the Consortium’s official website.

While the NLUs tend to be the first choice of most candidates, there are a host of other good options like Amity University, UP, Bennett University (Times of India Group), and Kalinga University that will also offer admission based on CLAT scores. clatconsortium has announced that five times the number of candidates as the number of seats will be invited for the CLAT counselling which will start at 9 am on October 6.
Consortium of NLUs has announced a slight change in timing of CLAT counselling. The change has been mentioned in the CLAT result notification. Now CLAT counselling will start at 9 am instead of 12 noon. Candidates have been requested to note this change.
What after CLAT result? Consortium of NLUs will release the list of candidates qualifying for CLAT counselling on October 6 by 9 am. Only those candidates mentioned in the list will be eligible to apply for the counselling as per their CLAT result.

On October 4, 2020, some CLAT aspirants have filed a petition in the Supreme Court asking to quash the exam and directing the consortium of NLUs to re-conduct the same. The petitioners have stated that the conduct of the CLAT 2020 exam violated Articles 14 and 15.
Other than IPU, the other institutes accepting CLAT 2020 result are Nirma University and the Indore Institute of Law. Candidates who have qualified as per the CLAT result can apply to these institutes.
CLAT result will be the basis for admissions to the law courses at IPU University and its affiliated colleges. Candidates who have qualified in CLAT 2020 exam mjust apply on the basis of the same for the IPU law admissions.

CLAT result 2020 will be declared anytime on consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The authorities have released the tie breaker methodology for candidates who have the same scores. This is to compute the all India Rank that will be mentioned in the CLAT 2020 result. The tie breaking methodology is given below. Candidates will be ranked higher as per the following rules in the given order.
Once the CLAT result is declared on consortiumofnlus.ac.in, the counselling will commence from October 6. Around 724 PG seats (LLM ) will be filled on the basis of the ranks obtained in CLAT 2020 result.

After declaration CLAT result , the 22 participating NLUs will start counselling. Around 2738 seats in integrated LLB courses will be filled on the basis of the CLAT 2020 result. NLSIU Banglore has increased the BA LLB seats this year from 80 to 120 and these will be filled on the basis of the ranks obtained in CLAT result 2020. Domicile and EWS reservation have been introduced by many NLUs.

The consortium of NLUs will release the CLAT merit list along with the CLAT 2020 result. A common merit list for all candidates will be released. In addition, a separate CLAT category wise merit list will also be released with the CLAT result 2020. The merit list will mention roll numbers of all candidates who appeared in the examination along with their CLAT scores, category and rank.
After CLAT result declaration on October 5, the next step will be counselling and seat allotment process. The consortium of NLUs will start CLAT counselling from October 6 at 12 pm. CLAT counselling fee is Rs 50,000. The last date to register for CLAT counselling is October 7.
