CLAT 2022 Seat allotment: Admission process

Candidates who have received the allotment in the third round can exercise three options as mentioned below.

Accept the allotment

Candidates who want to accept the NLU seat allotment will have to complete the admission process by submitting the required documents and paying the fees as per the instructions. However, such candidates will not be considered for an upgrade in the upcoming rounds.

Apply for an upgrade

The upgrade option is available to candidates who want to go to the next round of the selection process and receive a different NLU than the one originally assigned. Candidates applying for the upgrade must log into the CLAT 2022 login portal and upload the required documents. Such candidates will also be required to pay fees to the NLU that has been assigned to them, for seat reservation.

Only the remaining payments are due from candidates who have previously paid their fees in the second or first round of allotment (the difference amount as specified by the allotted university).

Exit the admission process

This option is available to candidates who do not wish to participate in the CLAT admissions procedure 2022. Candidates who have dropped out of the admission process will not be considered for admission in any CLAT round. Candidates who did not receive a seat in the third round of allotment are advised to wait for the next or subsequent round.

The first and second seat allotments were released on June 30 and July 2, respectively for candidates who had registered for counseling.

Meanwhile, the CLAT 2023 admission notification will be released after July 15, 2022. The consortium had earlier announced that CLAT 2023 will be conducted on December 18, 2022, in offline mode.
