NEW DELHI: The national-level law entrance test, CLAT 2023 will be held today, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates have started reporting to the examination centre. The exam centre gates will open at 1 pm. CLAT 2023 exam guidelines released
The consortium has recently released the CLAT exam instructions for candidates appearing in the examination. Candidates should read the exam instructions carefully and follow them while appearing in CLAT 2023. Here are some important CLAT exam guidelines.
- Candidates can enter the CLAT exam centre premises from 01:00 pm onwards. The entry into the exam hall will begin at 01:30 pm.
- Once the candidate has entered the exam hall, he/she will not be allowed to leave the exam hall before 04:00 pm.
- Candidates who arrive after 2:15 pm will not be allowed to appear in the exam.
- Candidates must carry the CLAT admit card 2023 and a valid ID card for appearing in the examination.

Important Dos and Don’ts for CLAT 2023
Here are some dos and don'ts for the CLAT 2023 examination.

Handle the OMR sheet with care. Ensure that it is not torn.

Leave a few minutes in the end for revision, and attempt questions you didn’t get correct on the first try.

Keep the negative marking in mind as you attempt questions.

Fill in the bubbles on the OMR properly.

Don’t answer two options for one question.

Stay calm and focused. Don’t get distracted by the new surroundings of the test centre.

Drink water if you feel stressed, and keep yourself hydrated.

CLAT exam day guidelines: Medical instructions
The consortium of NLUs has released Medical Instructions to be followed for this academic year.

The students must participate in the thermal screening process at the exam centre gate.

Candidates must maintain a social distance at the exam centre.

Students are not allowed to form groups in the exam hall.

If the temperature has> 99.14, they have to take the CLAT exam in isolation.

There are sufficient cleaning staff, centre administrators, and invigilators with face masks and hand gloves at the examination centre.

Spray machines with a disinfectant liquid will be kept at your disposal, and sanitization did thoroughly in all examination centres.

Carry sufficient hand sanitiser and hand soap but make sure not to spill in OMR sheets.

Students will not be allowed inside the exam hall if they have a fever or cold.

Keep wearing the face mask/ shield etc and always take necessary precautions in the premises of the Test Centre, particularly in the Examination Hall.

If you were to arrive with a scribe, then you and the writer should have to carry one N95 mask.

Mobile phones have to be switched off and deposited at the designated location.

Important instructions for appearing in CLAT 2023 examination
Candidates appearing for CLAT 2023 should follow the general exam day instructions mentioned in their admit card as well as the instructions issued by the Consortium in their official portal. The general exam day guidelines of CLAT 2023 are given below:

Carry only necessary items and documents in the examination hall. Avoid carrying any prohibited item that can restrict entry into the examination hall.

Candidates should paste their recent passport-size photograph on their CLAT 2023 admit card.

Who is eligible for CLAT exam?
Only those candidates who have filled the CLAT 2023 application form for UG or PG programmes are eligible to appear for the examination.
UG CLAT eligibility
Candidate should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent exam from a recognized board with at least 45% for general category candidates and 40% for SC and ST candidates.
CLAT LLM eligibility
Candidate should have completed a law programme from a recognized university with at least 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC and ST candidates)
