NEW DELHI: The Consortium of National Law Universities issued a press release today regarding increase in Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2024 registrations. CLAT 2024 had 24.5% more applicants compared to the previous year.
Consortium of National Law Universities received 34.7% more undergraduate applications and 25.8% more postgraduate applications than last year.
The release read “CLAT 2024 also saw a marked increase in the number of registrations with more than 1 lakh candidates registering their interest in knowing more about the test.”
CLAT 2024 exam is scheduled to take place tomorrow, December 3, for undergraduate and postgraduate law programmes. The exam will be conducted in the offline mode for a duration of two hours from 2 pm to 4 pm. The test will be held across 139 test centres across the country.

Candidates must carry the CLAT 2024 admit card and a government approved ID such as PAN card, Aadhar card or voter ID card to the exam centre. Candidate should reach the exam centre an hour before the commencement of exam for security check and verification process.
As per the CLAT UG 2024 exam pattern, the entrance test will be conducted for a total of 120 marks. The question paper will have 120 multiple choice questions carrying one mark each. There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each incorrect response.
