All India Rank 1 (AIR 1) in the past four years’ has opted for NLSIU Bengaluru to pursue BA LLB. However, the closing rank fluctuated between 85 and 114, indicating consistently high demand.
NALSAR Hyderabad has the second highest CLAT cut-offs for BA LLB, with opening ranks ranging from 6 to 25 and closing ranks between 159 to 177 during the last four years.

Low rank holders in the range of 1600 and above 2800 have mostly chosen new NLUs to study LLB. The CLAT cut-offs for newer NLUs – MNLU Nagpur, MNLU Aurangabad, NUSRL Ranchi, DSNLU Visakhapatnam, HPNLU Shimla, and NLUT Agartala – show a significant fluctuation.
The CLAT 2026 results are expected to be declared by the third week of December on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. The Consortium will prepare the CLAT rank list based on the final answer key after reviewing the challenges submitted by candidates against the provisional answer key . Candidates can raise objections by paying Rs 500 per question.
The top three NLUs in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Kolkata closed their admissions under rank 350 and the newer NLUs recorded closing rank beyond 2800.
CLAT UG cut-off trends over 4 years
The CLAT cut-offs are determined based on the number of candidates appearing in the exam, difficulty level, scores obtained, reservation criteria, and seat availability. A CLAT score between 110 and 105 is considered a good score, as per experts. Last four years' CLAT cut-off trends for general category candidates are given below.
