CLAT 2026 UG, PG law entrance exam today; bell timings, things to carry

The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) will conduct the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2026 exam today from 2 pm to 4 pm. Candidates appearing for the exam should carry their CLAT 2026 admit card along with a government-issued ID for verification purposes to the exam hall. CLAT 2026 live updates

Candidates appearing for the CLAT 2026 UG, PG entrance exam can download their admit card on the official website, consortiumofnlus.ac.in. Candidates belonging to the PwD category have to carry their disability certificate/UDID to the test centre.

Students are allowed to carry only a black or blue ballpoint pen, a transparent water bottle, and an analogue watch to the exam hall. To mark attendance, candidates should enter their QB number and the OMR response sheet number, and sign in the column provided on the attendance sheet circulated during the test.

As per the CLAT 2026 guidelines, candidates should not carry any electronic devices, including mobile phones, headphones and digital watches.

Furthermore, engaging in impersonation or any other fraudulent activity during the exam may constitute a criminal offence and will result in the candidate’s disqualification. Legal action will also be taken against the candidate in accordance with applicable laws.

Distribution of the sealed envelopes and announcement of instructions by the Invigilators

Long Bell

Commencement of the test. Candidates can open the sealed envelopes

Short Bell

No candidate will be allowed to enter the test centre after this time

2:30 PM

Short Bell

Marks the completion of 30 minutes of the test

3:00 pm

Short Bell

Indicates the completion of 60 (sixty) minutes of the test

3:30 PM

Short Bell

Indicates the completion of 1:30 hours of the Test

3:50 pm

Short Bell

A warning bell indicating that 10 minutes are remaining for the test to end

4:00 pm

Long Bell

Indicates the completion of the test. No candidate will be allowed to write anything on the OMR response sheet/question booklet after this bell. PwD candidates will get an additional 40 minutes.
