CMAT 2021 LIVE Updates: Exam Analysis (OUT), Answer Key, Paper Pattern, Marks vs Percentile

As per the CMAT exam analysis 2021 by IMS Learning, the overall difficulty level of the exam was higher as compared to CMAT 2020. The General Awareness section was challenging in both the CMAT 2021 slots and will become the decisive section and impact the overall percentile. The CMAT exam 2021 was successfully held by NTA today. Candidates did not find any technical glitch in any shift inside the CMAT examination hall. There is no official confirmation regarding CMAT 2021 result date. However, candidates can expect the declaration of CMAT 2021 result tentatively in the second week of April 2021. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has successfully concluded CMAT 2021 slot 2 at 6 pm. Students appearing for CMAT optional section are still taking the exam. For them, CMAT shift II will get over at 6.30 pm.

The second shift of CMAT 2021 is about to end. The second shift of CMAT 2021 was held in Computer Based (CBT) mode. The timing of CMAT 2021 second slot was 3:00 PM to 6:00/ 6:30 PM. There is an extra 30 minutes for those who are taking the Innovation and Entrepreneurship section.

 More than 65,000 candidates appeared for the CMAT exam last year out of 74,486 registered candidates. CMAT entrance exam was conducted in 104 cities across the country at 245 test centres from 30 States and Union Territories.

The Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) 2021 is being conducted on 153 exam centres across the country. Candidates have 3.5 hours to solve all the five sections. After conclusion of CMAT 2021 shift 2 candidates will be able to check its analysis.

CMAT 2021 exam shift 2 begins

In the CMAT 2021 question paper of shift 1, there was one question in the language comprehension section, "One who is extremely fond of his wife?" and the students had to pick the right option. Uxorious was one of the options in the answers and is the right answer to this question. Uxorious meaning is 'having or showing a great or excessive fondness for one's wife'.

Students entry to CMAT exam hall is about to close and CMAT 2021 shift 2 is about to start. As per mentioned exam timing, CMAT 2021 shift 2 will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00/6:30 PM. Instruction on the CMAT admit card 2021 mentioned that candidates will be given a three-ply mask before entry and they will have to remove the mask worn by them from home and wear the fresh mask given to them at the test centre but this CMAT aspirant tweets about not receiving any mask at the test centre.

• Concentrate on revising concepts and formulae.
• Stay away from analyzing or taking CMAT mock tests now.
• Scroll through the whole section before attempting it and quickly do a rough calculation of how many questions you know and can answer accurately.
• Carefully read the comprehension section by spending good 5 minutes and then start attempting its questions.
• While attempting CMAT 2021, skip questions you are not sure of and focus on accuracy.
  Keep an eye on the clock and manage your time well.

Candidates who appeared for CMAT shift 1 have termed the General Knowledge section quite tough as compared to last year. Majority of the questions asked were from Economics, Sports, Science, Personalities, Trade Awareness, Politics and Literature. They expect the sectional cutoff for this section to be on the lower side.

CMAT 2021 shift 1 is over now. The overall difficulty level of CMAT 2021 shift 1 question paper was moderate. CMAT 2021 Quant & DI section was bit time consuming. The total number of questions asked in CMAT question paper was 125 including "Innovation and Entrepreneurship" section.

CMAT Shift 1 has concluded and candidates termed the overall difficulty level of CMAT 2021 shift 1 as moderate.
As per one of the aspirants, Gaurav, “Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation section was a bit time consuming. The General Awareness section was also quite tough, if a candidate able to answer 13 to 18 questions can score good. The reasoning section was between easy to moderate difficulty level”.

Another candidate, Aarushi says- “The overall difficulty level of CMAT 2021 was easy to moderate. In the Language Comprehension section most of the questions asked from Synonym and Antonym and English Grammar. In the QA section, the weightage of probability was high as compared to last year. I am expecting more than 85 percentile in CMAT.

CMAT 2021 exam shift 1 begins

CMAT 2021: CMAT exam today

CMAT 2021 aspirants appearing for the morning shift at 9 am have started to reach the exam centre.

As per the revised exam pattern of CMAT 2021, there will be a total of five sections. Check the detailed CMAT exam pattern.

• On the day of the CMAT exam, candidates need to bring a printed copy of CMAT admit card along with one valid photo ID proof.

• Report to the CMAT exam centre as per mentioned timings in the CMAT admit card.

• Do not carry any prohibited item to the CMAT exam hall.

• Read all the instructions carefully which are mentioned on the CMAT admit card.

NTA has issued certain guidelines pertaining to COVID 10 which one need to follow on the day of examination. 

• Candidates need to fill the COVID 19 self declaration form which is attached with the CMAT admit card.

• As per CMAT COVID 19 guidelines, one needs to maintain social distancing all the time at CMAT exam centre.

• Candidates must keep their hands sanitized and the same will be provided at the CMAT exam centre.

Due to the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent surge in cases, candidates are required to state their health and travelling status of the last 14 days in a CMAT 2021 self-declaration undertaking given on the admit card. Candidates have to print the admit card in black and white, fill the details in the CMAT 2021 self-declaration, and carry it to the exam centre.

Candidates need to carry a printed copy of the CMAT 2021 admit card along with one valid and original photo ID proof such as PAN Card/ Driving License/ Voter ID/ Passport/ Aadhar Card (with photo)/ Ration Card for seeking entry into the test centre.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is conducting the CMAT exam today in two shifts, morning and forenoon. NTA annually conducts the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) to offer admission into MBA/ PGDM programmes. Earlier, CMAT 2021 exam date was February 22/ 27. Due to the addition of an additional section titled as “Innovation and Entrepreneurship” the same has been rescheduled.
