The CMAT national-level entrance exam is held every year for admission into management courses in AICTE-approved institutes and other participating universities and colleges. The exam was held in computer-based test (CBT) mode for a duration of three hours.
The question paper consists of quantitative technique and data interpretation, logical reasoning, language comprehension, general awareness and innovation and entrepreneurship.
As per the CMAT final answer key 2024, the question ID 30432912794 has been dropped in shift 1 exam and question ID 30432912843 has been dropped from shift 2 exam paper. In case a question is dropped due to some technical error, full marks will be given to all candidates irrespective of whether they attended the question or not. Therefore, all candidates who appeared in the exam will get 4 extra marks.
CMAT tie-breaking rule
The NTA will issue a national merit ranking based on the marks obtained by candidates against the total score. In case two or more candidates score the same marks, the following tie-breaking rule will be followed.
- Cumulative grade point average (CGPA) of the last qualifying examination.
- Overall pass percentage in Class 12 results.
- Older in age
- Candidates having same score would be given the same merit, and the merit number would be increased by the same number ie. If there are two candidates at merit 2, rank 3 will not be awarded to the next candidate, but rank 4 will be awarded.
