The CMAT percentile score denotes the percentage of students that have scored equal to or below that particular CMAT percentile in the examination. So the one who gets the highest score in each session will get 100 of the same CMAT percentile, which is desirable. The marks secured in between the lowest and highest scores are also converted to appropriate CMAT percentiles.
Now let’s take an example and understand how the CMAT percentile is calculated?
Total Percentile (TP1) = 100 x (Number of candidates appeared from the session with raw score EQUAL TO or LESS than T1 score/ Total No. of candidates appeared in the session)
Suppose, 10000 students has appeared in CMAT 2021 and a students will secure 5th rank, His/ her CMAT percentile will be calculated as below:
-
P = 10000-5/10000*100
Hence his/ her CMAT percentile 2021 will be 99.95.
