CS Foundation 2021: ICSI releases exam day instructions; Check details here
ICSI will conduct CS Foundation June session exams on August 13 and 14. Candidates who are registered for the exam must be aware of the instructions issued by the ICSI.

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has released a notification of guidelines that need to be followed by candidates in the CS Foundation exam. The instructions are divided into three different sections - General, Special, and Operating instructions.
Candidates who are going to appear in the computer-based CS Foundation exam on August 13 and 14 need to carefully read all the instructions.
Part A: General instructions

After downloading the CS Foundation admit cards, candidates are advised to verify all the details such as personal details, admission number, exam centre details, reporting time, date of exam and related. Any discrepancy in the admit card must be brought to notice of the ICSI immediately.

On the exam days, each candidate must carry their CS Foundation admit card and a student identity card.

The identity card will be available and downloaded from the individual online accounts of candidates at smash.icsi.in

Candidates must report at the CS Foundation exam centre 60 minutes before the reporting time. Entry will be allowed one by one in a systematic manner.

The centre superintendent will provide an extra time or a scribe/writer for any physically disabled/ challenged candidate only when the same has been granted specially written sanction in each individual case by the Institute.

Without permission from ICSI, no facility including special seating arrangement will be granted to the candidates

Personal belongings are not allowed in the exam centre.

Candidates must sign on the attendance sheet each day on August 13 and 14
-
Candidates resorting to any unfair means will be expelled by the superintendent of the exam.
Exam Pattern Overview
-
50 multiple-choice questions (MCQ’s)
-
Two marks for each MCQ in each paper
-
90 minutes for appearing in both the papers on each day (August 13 and 14)
-
The question paper will be in both English and Hindi language except for the Business Management, Ethics and Entrepreneurship paper
-
No negative marking for wrong answers.
Part B: Special instructions due to COVID-19 pandemic

Candidates who are tested positive or have any the symptoms like fever, cough, sneezing, breathing problem, headache, running nose, chest congestion, sore throat etc., during the last 10 days or are under self-isolation or quarantine or returned from any foreign country within the last 14 days of the CS Foundation examination should not come to the exam centre

Along with the CS admit card, candidates must download the self-declaration form regarding health status. A signed copy of the self-declaration form must be submitted by candidates on the first day of the exam.

All candidates must follow social distancing norms from each other while entering and leaving the exam premises.

Candidates should mandatorily wear face masks covering the mouth and nose

Candidates will be allowed inside the exam hall only after thermal screening.

Candidates must carry their own small transparent bottle of drinking water and a hand sanitiser in the examination hall for personal use
-
After using washrooms, candidates should sanitize/ wash their hands with sanitiser/ soap or liquid soap made available by the centre
-
All candidates are requested to cooperate with the examination functionaries at all times.
Part C: Operating instructions

Follow the Invigilator’s instructions while appearing in the exam

Take help from the invigilator if you are unable to operate the exam window

Click on DONE once you have answered all the questions

Mention your name, roll number, registration number, date of exam and batch time on the rough sheet provided by the examiner.

All candidates must maintain discipline in the exam hall/ lab/ room
