CSAB Counselling 2024: Registration begins tomorrow for supernumerary round; choice filling till August 19

NEW DELHI: The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) will commence the registration and choice-filling process for the CSAB 2024 supernumerary round tomorrow, August 16. Eligible candidates will be able to register for the CSAB 2024 supernumerary round through the official website, csab.nic.in. The last date to complete the registration and choice-filling for the CSAB 2024 supernumerary round is August 19.

As per the schedule, the board will announce the seat allotment result for the CSAB 2024 supernumerary round on August 20, 2024, at 5 pm. Candidates will have to upload the required documents, pay the supernumerary seat acceptance fee (SSAF), and complete the online verification process for person with disability (PwD) candidates from August 20 to August 22, 2024.

Candidates from General (GEN), General-Economically Weaker Section (GEN-EWS), and Other Backward Class-Non-Creamy Layer (OBC-NCL) are required to pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 45,000. For candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) categories who have received their first allotment, the SSAF is Rs, 25,000.

“The candidates who paid any fee during JoSAA-2024 or CSAB-2024 Special Rounds shall be adjusted towards CSAB-2024 SSAF and the balance amount should be paid,” the official notice read.

In CSAB supernumerary round counselling, admissions are provided into the National Institute of Technology (NIT) Calicut, NIT Durgapur, and Sardar Vallabhbhai National Institute of Technology (SVNIT) Surat based on the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE-Main) 2024 rank.

CSAB 2024 Supernumerary Round Counselling: Documents required

Candidates who are allocated a seat in the supernumerary round are required to upload the following documents on the CSAB 2024 supernumerary round portal.

• Class 10 certificate or birth certificate

• Class 12 mark sheet

• Category certificate (if applicable)

• UDID Card or PwD certificates for PwD candidates

• State of eligibility proof

• Medical certificate
