The admission process will consist of two rounds. It may be followed by a spot round, which will be conducted by the respective directorate of technical education (DTE) of north eastern states and various UTs, and the North Eastern Regional Institute of Research and Technology, Itanagar.
The candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 4,000 for seat acceptance. The students can choose from ‘float’, ‘slide’ and ‘freeze’ options during the seat acceptance process. The ‘freeze’ option means that the students have selected the allotted seat and the institute. If a candidate selects the ‘float’ option, then he will have the option to change the institute and the programme allotted to him (better one from his list). The ‘slide’ option will allow the candidate to change the allotted programme in the granted institute.
The candidates exercising the ‘freeze’ option will be able to download provisional admission letter (PAL) and proceed for final admission at allotted Institute as per schedule.
The CSAB, DTEs of states and UTs, and the NERIST, Itanagar, will review and verify the documents of allotted seats from July 25 to Jul 30. The second seat allotment will be declared on July 31.
Candidates must secure a rank in JEE Main 2023 for BE/BTech and BArch programmes in the respective papers.
The candidates applying for pharmacy programme will be allotted seats on the basis of aggregate percentage of Class 12. Only those candidates that have passed the Class 12 (or equivalent) board examination in the year 2021 or 2022 or 2023 will be eligible for the pharmacy programme.
