CSEET 2021: ICSI makes it compulsory for students to download SEB software

NEW DELHI: The Institute of Company Secretaries of India (ICSI) has announced that students appearing for the Company Secretary Executive Entrance Test (CSEET) 2021 exam on January 9, 2021, will have to download the safe exam browser (SEB) software. This is a compulsory requirement for all the students appearing for the CSEET January 2021 exam.

The CSEET January 2021 exam is scheduled to be held in a home-based online mode. Candidates are required to have a PC/laptop with good internet connectivity to appear for this exam.

How to download the safe exam browser (SEB) software?

ICSI has released detailed guidelines required to download the SEB software. Candidates must remove their pop-up blocker before starting the download and installation process of the safe exam browser. The steps to download the software are given below.

• Visit the given icseet.azurewebsites link.
• Enter the CSEET registration number and your date of birth.
• Click on the “Download SEB” button.

How to download and install the SEB software on your computer or laptop?

Candidates need to follow the given instructions to install SEB software on their laptops. The SEB software can be uninstalled after the CSEET examination is completed.

• After downloading the SEBLite.exe on your computer, double click on the “SEBLite” Icon to start the installation process.
• A windows pop-up will appear stating that “Windows protected your PC”. Click on the ‘more info’ option
• Click on the “Run Anyway” button to continue the installation process.
• Click on Next.
• Click on the Close option to complete the setup process.
• SEBLite and SEBLite Repair tool shortcuts will appear on the desktop
• Double click on the SEBLite icon
• Click on the yes option, in case the below-given pop-up appears.

• The SEB installation is complete.

On the day of the CSEET 2021 exam, candidates will have to enter their login credentials and confirm their attendance to sign in and give the exam. The login window will open as below.
