CSIR UGC NET 2024 December registration begins today; exam from February 16 to 28

NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research National Eligibility Test (CSIR NET) 2024 December schedule. As per the NTA official schedule, the CSIR UGC NET 2024 registration begins from today, December 9. Candidates who have not yet registered for the exam can fill out the CSIR NET 2024 December application form by visiting the official website, csirnet.nta.ac.in.
As per the official schedule, the CSIR UGC NET 2024 December registration deadline is December 30. However, the fee payment deadline is December 31. The CSIR NET 2024 application correction window will be available from January 1. Candidates will be able to edit their already submitted CSIR NET 2024 form till January 2.
CSIR NET 2024 December: Exam date
The CSIR NET 2024 exam will be conducted from February 16 to 28. The CSIR NET 2024 will be conducted online for a duration of 3 hours. The exam comprises of objective-type questions. The CSIR NET 2024 exam includes a total of 5 test papers mathematical sciences, physical sciences, life sciences, earth, atmospheric, ocean, and planetary sciences, and chemical sciences. Negative marking will be applicable for incorrect answers.
CSIR NET 2024 December Registration: Application fee
CSIR NET 2024 application fee payment is mandatory to complete the registration process. The CSIR UGC NET 2024 December application fee for General candidates is Rs 1,150, whereas for General Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates, the fee is Rs 600. Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe, and Person with Disabilities (PwD) categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 325. The CSIR NET 2024 application fee payment can be paid through, debit card, credit card, UPI and net banking.

CSIR NET 2024: Eligibility criteria
Candidates can have a look at the CSIR NET 2024 eligibility criteria below.
- Educational qualification: Candidates are required to hold a degree in BTech, BE,BPharma, MBBSBS (four years) or Integrated BS-MS, MSc with a minimum of 55 percent marks for General (UR, General-EWS and OBC (50 percent for SC, ST, Third gender, and PwD).
- Age limit: To be eligible for CSIR NET JRF, candidates must not exceed 28 years of age. The upper age limit is extendable by up to 5 years for SC,ST, Third gender,PwD, Females and by up to 3 years for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer). However, there is no upper age limit for applying for the post of Lectureship (LS) or assistant professor.
