NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency (NTA) is expected to declare the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research - National Eligibility Test (CSIR-NET 2023) soon. The CSIR UGC NET 2023 final answer key was released recently on the official website, csirnet.nta.nic.in, for December 2022 and June 2023 exams.
Joint CSIR UGC NET exam is conducted to determine the eligibility of Indian nationals for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for lectureship (LS) and assistant professor in Indian universities and colleges.
The NTA had four questions in the Joint CSIR NET final answer key. The exam was conducted on June 6, 7, and 8. The CSIR UGC NET results 2023 will be declared on the basis of the final answer key.
Those candidates enrolled for MSc or having completed the qualifying examination on the closing date of the CSIR NET application form, will have to clear the exam with the minimum passing percentage within two years from the CSIR UGC NET result declaration date.
CSIR NET Result 2023: Marking scheme
The CSIR NET question paper 2023 is divided into three parts carrying 200 marks.
- Part A and B have 20 and 40 questions respectively and Part C has 60 questions.
- Two marks will be awarded to every right answer in Part A and B.
- Four marks will be awarded to every correct answer in Part C.
- If a question is found to be wrong, marks will be given to only those candidates who attempted the question.
- There will be a negative marking of 0.5 for every wrong answer.
General, EWS and OBC category candidates should score a minimum of 33% and SC, ST and PwD categories should secure 25% to qualify for both fellowship and lectureship and assistant professor.
The NTA will be uploading two separate merit lists for awarding of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF-NET) and for lectureship (LS-NET) or assistant professor.
