NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET 2021 exam) in a computer-based mode from December 16, 2021 to January 13, 2022. Candidates who are going to appear for the CTET 2021 exam must be aware of what they should carry to the test centre and what are items are prohibited.

The CBSE has issued a set of instructions and guidelines the candidates are required to follow during the CTET 2021 exam. These include entry timings and security procedures, items that are prohibited at exam centres as well as a dress code.

CTET 2021 exam day instructions

  • The exam hall will be opened at 7:30 am for shifts 1 and 12.30 pm for shift 2. i.e. 2 hours before the commencement of the test. Candidates should take their seats instantly after the opening of the CTET 2021 exam hall.

  • Those who arrive after the commencement of the exam will not be permitted to enter the exam centre.

  • While entering the exam hall, the candidate’s admit card will be verified by the invigilators in the exam hall.

  • The candidate will not be allowed to leave his or her seat or exam room until the completion of the CTET exam. If there are any special cases or any emergency, they have to get permission from the invigilator.

  • All calculations and writing works are to be done in the rough sheet which will be provided at the exam hall. After the completion of the CTET 2021 exam, candidates need to hand over the rough sheets to the Invigilator.

CTET 2021 Exams: What not to carry to exam centre

The following are the items that are not permitted to be brought inside the exam centres.

  • Stationery item - Textual material, bits of paper, plastic pouch, geometry/pencil box, calculator, scale, pen drives, writing pad, eraser, calculator, electronic pen/scanner, log table, cardboard .

  • Communication devices - Mobile phones, health bands, earphones, BlueTooth, microphones, pagers.

  • Other items - Watch or wristwatch, camera, wallet, goggles, handbags jewellery, golden ornaments.

The CTET 2021 admit card for phase 1 was released on December 11. Candidates whose uploaded discrepancy images were given the option to upload their correct images till December 12 failing which CTET 2021 admit card will not be provided and they will not be permitted to appear in the exam.
