CTET 2024 exam date revised again to December 14 in view of competitive exams

NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has again revised the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 exam date for the December session. Now, the exam will be held on December 14 instead of December 15. The decision has been taken following representations from candidates that a few competitive exams are scheduled for December 15.

The board also informed that in case the number of candidates is higher in a particular city, the CTET December 2024 exam may also be conducted on December 15.

“Now, as per the information received from various candidates, few competitive examinations are scheduled to be held in some states/union territories on 15 December 2024 (Sunday). Hence, keeping in view the interest of the candidates, it has been decided to conduct the CTET examination on 14th December 2024 (Saturday). In case number of candidates is more in any city, the exam may also be conducted on 15th December, 2024,” said CBSE in an official notice.

The CTET 2024 December session exam was initially slated to be held on December 1 in 136 cities across the country. However, the 20th edition of the CTET exam was postponed to December 15 due to administrative reasons.

The last date to fill the CTET application form 2024 is October 16. Interested and eligible candidates can apply for CTET exam 2024 by visiting the official website, ctet.nic.in. The test will be conducted in two shifts – morning shift from 9:30 am to 12 pm and evening shift from 2:30 pm to 5 pm.
