Check NowNEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will close the application window for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2024 January session today, November 27, 2023. Candidates can apply for CTET 2024 till 11:59 pm today. Interested candidates who meet all the eligibility criteria can register for the CTET on the official website at ctet.nic.in.

The CTET January 2024 will be held on January 21 in 135 cities across the country. The exam will be held in 20 different languages. The CTET January 2024 exam result is expected to be declared in the month of February 2024.
Candidates from the general and OBC categories will be charged Rs 1,000 for one paper and Rs 1,200 for both, whereas for SC, ST, and differently abled person, the registration fee is Rs 500 for a single paper and Rs 600 for both papers.

The CTET 2024 exam consists of two papers - paper I is for appointment of teachers for Classes 1 to 5, whereas paper II is for appointment of teachers of Classes 6 to 8. The CTET 2024 test paper will solely have multiple-choice questions (MCQ), each question will carry one mark, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect answers.

Candidates can follow these instructions to apply for CTET 2024.
- Go to the CBSE CTET official website, ctet.nic.in.
- On the homepage, click on the registration option.
- Register yourself by entering the required details.
- Next, login using credentials generated during registration.
- Fill in the application form.
- Upload required documents and pay the fees.
- Download and take a printout of the confirmation page.
