CTET application form 2021 to be released soon at ctet.nic.in
CTET 2021 application form for July session to be released soon. Check expected dates, eligibility criteria.
NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is expected to release the CTET 2021 information brochure (notification) and application form for the July 2021 session soon. The Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is conducted twice a year in July and November. The application form and notification for CTET 2021 will be released on its official website ctet.nic.in.

The Ministry of Human Resource and Development (MHRD), used to conduct the CTET 2021 exam, however, now CBSE has been assigned the role of conducting authority. CTET is held in 20 Indian languages. As per previous year’s trends, approximately 23 lakh candidates applied for the teaching exam. The CTET application form is released every year in June and is expected to be out soon, however, the authorities have not announced the dates yet.
Who can apply for CTET?
The eligibility criteria for CTET is prescribed by the National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE). The detailed eligibility criteria is mentioned in the information brochure. There are two papers in the CTET and the eligibility for both the papers are slightly different.
As per the criteria, the minimum academic qualification required to appear in the paper 1 (Primary stage) is 2 years diploma in elementary education along with 50% aggregate in 10+2, there is no upper age limit to apply for the exam. For paper 2 (Elementary stage), the minimum academic qualification required is graduation in any discipline along with a 2 years diploma in elementary education.
Job opportunities after CTET 2021
Candidates who qualify the CTET 2021, can apply for the post of teachers in Navodaya School, Kendriya Vidyalaya, private schools affiliated to CBSE etc. Those who qualify in paper 1 can apply for teacher posts from Classes 1 to 5, while those who qualify in paper 2 will be eligible to apply for teacher posts from Class 6 to 8.
Recently, the union government decided to extend the TET eligibility certificate for lifetime. The previous validity was 7 years.
