CUET 2022: Things to know before filling the application form

NEW DELHI: The CUET 2022 application process for UG programmes is underway. Candidates who wish to take admission in UG programmes offered at the 44 central universities and 17 other universities can fill and submit the CUET 2022 application form till May 6. The entrance exam of CUET 2022 will be held in the first and second week of July.

Before candidates start the CUET 2022 registration, they should check out the CUET eligibility criteria 2022. The eligibility criteria of CUET 2022 may differ depending upon the programmes and universities. However, there are some basic CUET 2022 eligibility criterias which each candidate must meet. Candidates must have passed Class 12th from a recognised central or state board.

CUET 2022 important points

• The CUET 2022 application process includes three stages - registration, filling online application form and paying the necessary examination fee.
• While filling the CUET application form 2022, candidates have to upload the photo of their Class 10th or equivalent certificate in the form of PDF.
• Candidates can choose upto a maximum of 3 languages from section IA and section IB. In section II, students can choose upto a maximum of six subjects of their choice from the 27 specific domains being offered.
• The maximum number of tests candidates can take are 9 in a combination of 2 languages + 6 domain specific subjects + 1 general test or 3 languages + 5 domain specific subjects + 1 general test.
• Candidates belonging to general category and general-EWS or OBC-NCL category will have to pay an application fee of Rs. 650 and Rs. 600, respectively. The applicants of PwBD, SC, ST, third gender category have to pay an application fee of Rs. 550.
• Candidates can select the 4 exam centres of their choice out of 547 cities within the country. For international candidates, there are 13 cities outside of India where the CUET 2022 will be held.

The entrance exam of CUET 2022 will be conducted in two shifts in a day. The duration of the first slot is 45 to 195 minutes and the duration of the second slot is 45 to 225 minutes. The question paper of CUET 2022 will consist of a language test, optional language test, domain-specific tests, and the general test.
