CUET PG 2024 begins today: Know timings, marking scheme, test structure

A total of 189 universities have participated in CUET PG this year. NTA has recorded over 4.6 lakh unique registrations this year.
NEW DELHI: The National Testing Agency is set to conduct the Common University Entrance Test PG 2024 from March 11. Candidates can find the details on exam date, centre address, paper code, as well as shift timings from the CUET PG admit card.
NTA has released the admit card of CUET PG at pgcuet.samarth.ac.in, which can be downloaded by entering their login details on the portal. It is advisable to carry a few copies of your CUET PG admit card, along with your passport size photographs similar to the admit card photo. No students will be allowed to enter the exam centre without a proper admit card.
CUET PG 2024 marking scheme
Candidates must be aware that there are negative markings involved in the CUET PG 2024 marking scheme. For each incorrect response, 1 mark will be deducted. Although, no deductions will be made for unattempted questions. For each correct answer, candidates will be awarded 4 marks. However, if more than one answer is correct in a question and either of the correct options is chosen by the candidate, 4 marks will be awarded. Similarly, if none of the options are correct, or a question is found out to be incorrect; 4 marks will be awarded, if it is attempted. Lastly, if all four options are correct; if attempted, they will be awarded full marks.
CUET PG 2024 test structure
The CUET PG 2024 exam will consist of 75 questions, with a duration of 105 minutes. Candidates can choose the General Test as a separate subject. Languages papers will be conducted in their respective language, except Linguistic paper in English. M.Tech/ Social Sciences papers will be held in English only and Acharya papers in Sanskrit except Hindu Studies, Indian Knowledge System and Baudha Darshan. Candidates can write in bilingual languages (English and Hindi) for Humanities, Sciences and Common papers. Candidates can find the paper code for their subjects in their admit card for CUET PG exam 2024.
CUET PG 2024 shift timing
The exam will be conducted in three shifts, from 9 am to 10:45 am, from 12:45 pm to 02:30 pm and from 04:30 pm to 06:15 pm. It is advised to reach the exam centre 2 hours before the scheduled start time. Candidates will not be permitted to enter the centre after the gate closes before 30 mins from the commencement of exam. Students must follow the instructions and guidelines set by the NTA, on the date of examination.
