The CUET UG 2023 admit card would be issued provisionally to the candidates through the NTA website- cuet.samarth.ac.in. Subject to the fulfilment of the eligibility conditions and receipt of the prescribed application fee by NTA.

While applying, candidates have to select any two cities of their choice. Efforts will be made to allot the city of CUET examination to the candidates in the order of preference opted by them in their online application form. However, due to administrative or logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted.

For the year of appearance in Class 12 or equivalent examination, relevant conditions of universities or nstitutions (as applicable) will be applied. The candidate must ensure his eligibility from the website of respective institutions.

• The final examination of the 10+2 system, is conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc. 
• Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University. 
• Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy
• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
• Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). 
• Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination. 
• A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration. 
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level. 
• High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva. 
• Candidates who have completed the Class 12 (or equivalent) examination outside India or from a Board not specified above should produce a certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) to the effect that the examination they have passed is equivalent to the Class 12 Examination. 
• In case the Class 12 Examination is not a public examination, the candidate must have passed at least one public (Board or Pre-University) examination earlier.

For appearing in the CUET UG 2023, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination or are appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in the CUET exam. However, the candidates will be required to fulfil the age criteria (if any) of the university, institution or organization in which they are desirous of taking admission.

For General Test, candidates will have to attempt 50 questions out of 60. For all other subjects including languages, 35/40 Questions are to be attempted out of 45/50.

The university has around 70,000 seats in various courses such as BA, BCom and BSc. Out of this, 3,291 seats are reserved for candidates applying under the ECA and sports category.

According to the UGC chairman, the NTA will begin the CUET registration 2023 today. CUET 2023 official website is also expected to be launched tonight at cuet.samarth.ac.in.

"Everything will remain the same this year. There’s no change. Students will have the same choices of subjects, the upcoming year will have the same format, and it will also be computer-based multiple-choice questions,” said UGC chief to Indian Express.

The NTA is responsible for conducting the CUET exam, registration, hosting of answer key, inviting challenges, finalising answer keys, preparing and declaring result and hosting scorecard. However, the CUET merit list 2023 will be prepared by participating universities. The universities will also be conducting individual counselling on the basis of the CUET 2023 scorecard released by the NTA.

The candidates will be able to choose as many as six domain subjects in addition to one or two languages and the General test.

The total registration for the CUET for UG admissions reached 9,81,406 and the total number of submitted applications was at 7,39,027 last year.

The debut CUET exam was marred with controversy and technical glitches and the UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar earlier said that a committee will review the infrastructure of examination centres for CUET and work on fixing the technical issues.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) exam was introduced last year for admission to central universities and other private universities for  UG, PG admission.

CUET UG exam dates 2023 are May 21 to 31. The NTA will be conducting the CUET PG 2023 exams from June 1 to 10.

CUET UG 2023 last date for submission of application form is March 12, 2023.

"Announcement on CUET-UG: Online Submission of Application Form for Common University Entrance Test [CUET (UG) - 2023] for Admission to Undergraduate Programmes will start tonight. Last date for submission of applications is 12 March 2023," UGC chief said in a tweet.
