While applying, candidates have to select any two cities of their choice. Efforts will be made to allot the city of CUET examination to the candidates in the order of preference opted by them in their online application form. However, due to administrative or logistic reasons, a different city can be allotted.

For the year of appearance in Class 12 or equivalent examination, relevant conditions of universities or nstitutions (as applicable) will be applied. The candidate must ensure his eligibility from the website of respective institutions.

• The final examination of the 10+2 system, is conducted by any recognized Central/ State Board, such as the Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi; Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations, New Delhi; etc.
• Intermediate or two-year Pre-University examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University.
• Final examination of the two-year course of the Joint Services Wing of the National Defence Academy
• Senior Secondary School Examination conducted by the National Institute of Open Schooling with a minimum of five subjects.
• Any Public School/ Board/ University examination in India or any foreign country is recognized as equivalent to the 10+2 system by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
• Higher Secondary Certificate Vocational Examination.
• A Diploma recognized by AICTE or a State board of technical education of at least 3 years duration.
• General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/Cambridge/Sri Lanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

For appearing in the CUET UG 2023, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the Class 12 or equivalent examination or are appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in the CUET exam. The debut CUET exam was marred with controversy and technical glitches and the UGC chairman M Jagadesh Kumar earlier said that a committee will review the infrastructure of examination centres for CUET and work on fixing the technical issues.

The Common University Entrance Test (CUET) exam was introduced last year for admission to central universities and other private universities for  UG, PG admission.

CUET UG exam dates 2023 are May 21 to 31. The NTA will be conducting the CUET PG 2023 exams from June 1 to 10.
