Try NowNEW DELHI: CUET UG 2024 day 4 recorded 83% higher attendance than the previous three days, informed the University Grants Commission (UGC) chief Jagadesh Kumar. According to the official data, the total number of centres used for CUET UG May 18 exam across India is 603. History, Sociology papers recorded the highest attendance of 84% and Political Science attendance stood at 78%.
"Since students write multiple tests, the above is equivalent to handling 539110 students on a single day. This constitutes 5.78% of the total scheduled slots for students registered in pen-and-paper mode", said Kumar in a post on X (formerly Twitter).
With this the testing agency has covered 87.09% of the total students who registered for CUET UG 2024. The average attendance recorded at 83% higher than the previous days.

The CUET UG May 18 exam was conducted in one shift, divided into three parts - shift 1A from 1:30 pm to 2:15 pm, shift 1B from 3:30 pm to 4:15 pm and shift 1C from 5:30 pm to 6:15 pm.
